Included in every course
Your work, in front of the people who hire
Training gets you ready. A showreel proves it. casting.directory puts both in front of Casting Directors, Agents and Producers, and keeps them there.
Every actor who trains or films with JJ Splice gets their own page on casting.directory: their headshot, their biog, and the scenes they shot in our studio, playable in full. From 19 November 2026 the directory is open to Sydney's talent Agents, Casting Directors and Independent Producers, who search it by playing age and gender and contact actors directly about paid work and representation.
It's included in every Academy course. There is no annual fee and no commission, ever.
Why we built it
Acting schools send you out the door with a certificate and a showreel file. Then it's up to you to get it seen. Meanwhile, JJ Splice is asked for actors all the time: by independent producers casting a short or a feature, by agents looking for new clients, by Casting Directors who need someone specific and fast. For years we answered those requests from memory. casting.directory is the honest version of that: everyone who has done the work, searchable, with the footage to back it up.
How it works
Your page is built for you from the scenes you shoot in the course, so there's nothing to film and nothing to upload. On the Screen Craft Intensive that's two Showreel scenes and two Monologues; on Foundation it's your Showreel scene. We pick one piece as your featured video, usually your clips reel, and the rest sits underneath.
You publish it yourself. Your page exists from the start, but it only goes into the public, searchable directory when you say so, usually the night your work screens. Until then only you and JJ Splice can see it.
You control it. Headshot, biog, which scenes show, and whether you're listed as represented or freelance. Changes publish straight away from a link we send you; there's no app to install and no login to remember. Take it down whenever you like and it goes back to draft.
Contact goes through us. A producer who wants to reach you fills in their name, company and message, which comes to JJ Splice and is forwarded to you, or to your agent if you have one. Your email address and phone number are never on the site.

If you already have an agent
Tell us, and your page says so. Enquiries go to your agent, and you're not shown to other agents as available for representation. Casting Directors and Producers still find your work, which is how it should be: your agent can only pitch you for the roles they hear about.
What it costs elsewhere
A searchable casting profile is normally something actors pay for by the year. A Casting Networks Premium membership in Australia is $209.90 a year, and it holds whatever footage you can get made. At JJ Splice the footage and the listing are the same thing, included in the course, and the listing doesn't expire when the course does.
